Sprinkler Systems Service

RCI Systems, Inc. services and installs a complete line of Wet and Dry Fire Suppression Systems.

From Wet Systems, Pre-Action Systems in computer or clean rooms these are typically tied to Clean Agent systems, Dry Systems in freezers, Standpipes, fire hoses and fire hydrants.

Your municipality and/or insurance company may require that your sprinkler system be tested at different intervals. Therefore, we recommend that you check with your insurance company to insure you are in compliance.

Specific components of the sprinkler systems require testing and inspections at different times per NFPA 25 fire code standard. These tests and inspections may include the following:

  • Inspecting operations and conditions related to the fire sprinkler system in accordance with NFPA 25.
  • Inspecting and determining if the fire sprinkler system is in service and in satisfactory condition.
  • Inspecting for adequate clearance and condition of sprinkler heads to allow for proper distribution and activation.
  • Inspecting sprinkler control valves for proper positioning, general conditioning, accessibility, and signage.
  • Inspecting and performing required water flow tests for each system from the main drain and inspector's test valve (weather permitting).
  • Inspecting fire department connections, couplings, caps, threads, clappers, valves and drains.
  • Inspecting and testing fire sprinkler system alarm components for satisfactory conditions.
  • Inspecting the reserve sprinkler head supply.
  • Inspecting the general condition of visible sprinkler system piping, hangers and drain valves in addition to checking valves, gauges and related equipment.
  • Additional testing may be required depending on the type of system.

Fact vs. Fiction

Fiction: Sprinkler systems are unattractive…

Fact: Fire sprinklers are the most reliable fire protection system known. They report a 99.76% success rate in communities where all fires are reported. Both industrial sprinklers and residential sprinkler systems are designed to blend into virtually any décor. Sprinklers, cover plates, and escutcheons can be custom painted by the manufacturer to match any decor.
