Substance Abuse Policy

RCI Systems, Inc. believes it is important to promote a drug free community, to maintain safe, healthy and efficient operations, and to protect the safety and security of the employees, facilities, and property of our company and our customers. This policy is to in place in an effort to prevent, educate, provide treatment for, enforce and protect our employees from substance abuse. Drugs or alcohol may pose serious risk to the user and all those who work with the user. Substance abuse, while at work or otherwise, seriously endangers the safety of employees as well as the general public and creates a variety of workplace problems, including, but not limited to, increased injuries, absenteeism, increased health care and benefit costs, theft, decreased morale, decreased productivity and a decline in our quality of services provided to our customers.

The possession, sale or use of illegal drugs (defined as any drug or drug-like substance whose sale, use or possession is unlawful) is inconsistent with the company’s objective of operating in a safe and efficient manner. Accordingly, no officer, employee, agent, contractor or visitor shall use, or have in his or her possession, illegal drugs during working hours or on company property at any time. Additionally, no officer, employee, agent or contractor shall report to work while under the influence of illegal drugs. Any employee who engages in such conduct will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination.

This policy is applicable to all company employees, including management, administration, temporary staff, subcontractors, and those individuals who have received a conditional offer of employment with the company. This policy further extends to all contractors who perform services on company property, operating company equipment, machinery or vehicles, or subcontracted to perform work for or with the company on a job site.

All applicants who have received a conditional offer of employment with RCI Systems, Inc. will be required to submit to a Pre-Employment drug and alcohol screening before their hiring is definitive. Any applicant who tests positive and does not refute the test results by retesting will not be considered for employment.
