See Apprenticeship Presentation

The fire sprinkler industry is one of the fastest growing segments of the construction industry in the United States. Because of this growth, the industry offers many rewarding career opportunities.

After an evaluation period, RCI Systems, Inc. offers employees the opportunity to participate in our Apprenticeship Program. The Apprenticeship Program is offered through the American Fire Sprinkler Association’s (AFSA) approved program. The AFSA program develops skills through formalized training that is skill-specific, goal-oriented and that will improve your skills allowing you the opportunity to advance within the company.

The AFSA correspondence training series for fire sprinkler fitters offers training for entry-level personnel or for those wishing to upgrade their skills. Advancement through the courses is to be completed in four years. All apprentices will receive certificates of completion for each volume/level of the AFSA correspondence course they successfully complete. After all 4 levels are completed the apprentice will receive a certificate denoting completion of the entire course series. Apprentices who complete a state-approved program are also eligible to receive a certificate from the U.S. Department of Labor signifying that they have achieved the journeyman level.

Fact vs. Fiction

Fiction: Sprinkler systems are unattractive…

Fact: Fire sprinklers are the most reliable fire protection system known. They report a 99.76% success rate in communities where all fires are reported. Both industrial sprinklers and residential sprinkler systems are designed to blend into virtually any décor. Sprinklers, cover plates, and escutcheons can be custom painted by the manufacturer to match any decor.
